A List of False Ideas about the Future
- It is false to say that the Antichrist is in the world today. In fact, he will not be born or take power for hundreds of years.
- It is false to say that Jesus Christ has returned already, as if he would ever return in secret. In truth, when Jesus Christ returns, the whole world will immediately know it.
- It is false to say that Jesus Christ will return during the 21st century, or at any time prior to the 25th century. In truth, Jesus Christ will return in the year 2437 A.D.
- It is false to say that Jesus Christ will destroy the world when He returns. In truth, He returns to complete His work of saving the world.
- It is false to say that all the events of the tribulation fit into seven years or less. In truth, the tribulation is spread out over many years.
- It is false to say that Jesus Christ will be conceived and born again. In truth, He returns as an adult, descending from the heavens.
- It is false to say that God will act without mercy, or that God's mercy can ever expire. In truth, even during the severe sufferings of the tribulation, there will be great mercy and grace and providence and miracles from God.
- It is false to say that either Pope Benedict XVI, or the next Pope after him, is the last Pope. In truth, there will be many more Popes between now and Christ's Return.
- It is false to say that the Antichrist will ever be a pope or an antipope. In fact, the Antichrist will never want to be Pope, because the Antichrist wants to be worshipped as if he were a god.
- It is false to say that any woman can ever be a validly-ordained Bishop or a Pope. In truth, any woman who claims to be the Pope is not validly ordained and is therefore necessarily an antipope.
- It is false to say that the whole world will ever be engulfed by war. In fact, there will be wars called world wars, but none of these is ever truly a worldwide or global war.
- It is false to say that the Antichrist will ever rule over the entire world. In fact, although he gains power over nearly the whole world, there will be constant rebellions and resistence against him, and he never succeeds in conquering every area of the world.
- It is false to say that the one holy Catholic Church will ever change its definitive teachings on faith or morals to be in conformity with the teachings of sinful secular society. For the teaching of the Church is the truth from God, and God Who is Truth changes not.
- It is false to say that the Church will ever validly ordain women as Bishops, or that the Church will ordain women as priests before Christ's return. If any woman claims to be an ordained priest or Bishop: Anathema sit.
- It is false to say that there are only five Marian dogmas, or that the fifth Marian dogma is the last, or that the proclamation of a fifth Marian dogma will usher in a time of peace or an end to the world.
- It is false to say that the future is conditional, as if even God could not know with absolute certainty what will happen beforehand.
