a proposal for a prolife amendment to the U.S. constitution

ProLife Constitutional Amendment:

Section 1. A prenatal is defined as any human being from conception to birth. Conception is defined as the beginning of human life, and as occurring at the earliest stage of development, including the single cell stage.

Section 2. The right to life shall not be denied to any prenatal, infant, or child.

Section 3. All prenatals, infants, and children shall have the equal protection of the laws.

Section 4. Termination of the life of a prenatal, infant, or child shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State. Abortion shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State. Medical procedures, which have the direct effect of taking the life of a prenatal, infant, or child, shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 5. Medical procedures, which are absolutely necessary to save the life of a mother and which indirectly result in the death of a prenatal, shall be permitted by law only when all possible options for saving the life of the prenatal have been exhausted. If both the mother's life and the prenatal's life can be saved, both must be saved. If the prenatal's life can be saved by no other possible option than by risking or allowing the death of the mother, then the prenatal's life must be saved.

Section 6. Contraceptives, which have or may have the effect of taking the life of a prenatal, shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 7. Human cloning for any purpose whatsoever shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 8. Embryonic stem cell research, or any other type of research or procedure, which involves harm to, destruction of, or experimentation on, human embryos or any human being at any early or prenatal stage of development, shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 9. In vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, sperm banks, egg banks, sperm donation, egg donation, destruction of embryos, and culling of implanted embryos, shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State. Existing frozen embryos shall be kept until implanted in a suitable woman.

Section 10. Euthanasia, suicide, and assisted-suicide shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 11. Travel to any location, for any purpose contrary to any portion of this amendment, shall not be legal in the United States nor in any State.

Section 12. All other articles of this Constitution, and of any law in the United States, and of any constitution or law in any State, shall not withstand the provisions of this article.

Section 13. All judgments, decisions, rulings, and orders of any kind whatsoever, by any court of law in the United States and in any State, shall not withstand the provisions of this article.

Section 14. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

Section 15. This amendment shall take effect one day after the date of ratification.
