My Work in Theology:
My name is Ronald L. Conte Jr. (Ron Conte) I am a layperson, a practicing Roman Catholic, a disciple of Christ. I have a bachelor's degree in philsophy and theology from Boston College. I have been writing and publishing Catholic theology books and articles for many years. I am currently completing work on a comprehensive work of Catholic moral theology. I am a Roman Catholic theologian, faithful to the teaching authority of the Church. I am the sole translator and editor of the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV) of the Sacred Bible, which was translated from the Pope Sixtus V and Pope Clement VIII Latin Vulgate Bible using the Challoner Douay Bible as a guide. The Catholic Public Domain Version adheres to the Vatican Norms for Bible Translation. The CPDV is a fairly literal translation which does not impose inclusive language or political correctness on the text. The Old Testament was translated in the light of the New Testament, and both Testaments were translated in the light of Roman Catholic teaching. The translation has been placed entirely in the public domain. I also worked on the World English Bible project (the Deuterocanonical Books of Tobit, Judith, Esther, Baruch, Jeremiah's Letter, and Daniel), and I worked as a proof-reader for the Tweedale edition of the Clementine Latin Vulgate. I am the author of several books of Roman Catholic theology: on the topic of eschatology: The Bible and the Future of the World, The Secrets of Medjugorje and Garabandal Revealed, The First Part of the Tribulation, and a forthcoming book, The Second Part of the Tribulation; on the topic of New Testament Biblical chronology: Important Dates in the Lives of Jesus and Mary; and on the Virgin Mary and the Most Holy Trinity: New Insights into the Deposit of Faith. I have written a number of articles of Catholic theology, including articles on Mariology, moral theology, and sexual ethics, and articles against abortion and against contraception. My website natural-family-planning.info promotes natural family planning. I have written a series of articles on Sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture, and the Magisterium. I have also written a series of articles refuting the doctrinal errors and other false claims of certain alleged private revelations. I lead discussions of dogmatic theology, moral theology, and Bible interpretation, as well as discussion on a wide range of other topics, in my online discussion group CatholicPlanet.Net I can be reached through e-mail or through the discussion group. I will usually, but not necessarily, respond to respectful questions on any topic about which I have written extensively. |
