Between A Rock And A Far Place

I walk these earthly paths with Heaven in my heart.
Each step I slowly take sends my body to it's tire.
Within my rest and dreams I find the truth to play its part.
The perfect silence fills my heart with Heaven's fire.

Feeling anxious all the day and sleepless all the night.
My mind and my soul, a battle not yet won.
I see Heaven on His way behind the earthly screams and fights.
Here comes the final war between the Earth and Sun.

My body is bound to Earth while my soul is off in space.
My spirit seems to be between a rock and a far place.

Temptation taunts my flesh as my spirit cries for love.
I'm torn between two fathers each and every day.
I search beyond the sky for some help from up above
As my body seeks its fill in each and every way.

The Sun holds His head up high as the Earth is laid to rest.
My spirit soars to heights above the distant stars.
My flesh is torn as I have passed my final test
And my spirit reigns in Heaven's path afar.

My body is bound to Earth while my soul is off in space.
My spirit seems to be between a rock and a far place.
